## MergadoBot ## **About MergadoBot** --- ### **What is MergadoBot?** MergadoBot is an automated bot operated by Mergado Technologies ([mergado.com](https://www.mergado.com)). It periodically downloads product data feeds from e‑commerce stores and collects product data from partner platforms based on mutual agreements, on behalf of our customers, so that their product data can be imported, transformed, and distributed within the Mergado platform. The bot only accesses URLs and platforms that are explicitly authorized. --- ### **User-Agent** User-Agent: MergadoBot or with an informational URL: User-Agent: MergadoBot (+) --- ### **Verification** MergadoBot uses Request Signature verification, the public key directory is available at: --- ### **Purpose** **What it does:** - Downloads product data feeds (XML, CSV) referenced in customer-supplied feed URLs - Collects product data from partner platforms based on mutual agreements - Fetches each feed URL periodically according to the customer’s configured refresh interval (typically every 1 – 24 hours) - Follows HTTP redirects **What it does NOT do:** - Does not crawl or spider websites without explicit authorization or mutual agreement - Does not follow links found in page HTML - Does not collect personal data - Does not execute JavaScript --- ### **robots.txt** Since MergadoBot only fetches explicit feed URLs provided by our customers and does not crawl websites or follow links independently, `robots.txt` is not applicable to its operation. The bot never discovers new URLs on its own. --- ### **Scope** MergadoBot visits only URLs that are directly submitted by Mergado customers as their product feed URLs, or domains of partner platforms accessed based on mutual agreements.
